Appointment to the Royal Australian Navy will be subject to such conditions as from time to time may be prescribed by the Commonwealth laval Board.

I fully understand that my services will be available for such appointment as the Naval Board may require, 1.8., General Service.

As a general rule the period of appointment will be two years excluding time occupied on passage to and from Australia and leave on return to United Kingdom, but in certain circumstances two years may be inclusive of passage and leave.

Officers may elect the R.N. or R.A.N. Scale of Leave as follows :-

per annum; of this, 15 days |

period of 6 months, or two month for shorter periods, cllowed to accumulate in the Any leave taken in Australia of the balance of 12 days

will be deducted from ted leave on return to the Zingdom.

Leave counts from embarkation in United until data of arrival United Kingdom.

R.A.I.SCALE.

42 days per annum in Australia. In addition, 7 days for each completed 6 months, and 1 day for each complet ed month will be allowed to accumulate in the R.A.N., to be taken on return to United Kingdom. The period of accumulated leave is limited to a maximum of 42 days.
